In Ayurveda, Chikitsa is classified into 3 types
Daivavyapashraya Chikitsa
Yuktivyapashraya Chikitsa
Satvavajaya Chikitsa
Yuktivyapashraya chikitsa (Rational Treatment):
Yuktivyapasraya is a treatment based on fundamental principles of Ayurveda. The term Yukti refers to the union, connection, reasoning device, strategy, artifice, expedients and application. Yuktivyapashraya means a method of treatment by the careful and purposeful use of various drugs from rational thinking. It corrects inappropriate diets and lifestyles through the use of appropriate ayurvedic drugs for the treatment or prevention of various physical ailments and causes various diseases.

Satvavajaya Chikitsa (psychotherapy): Satvavajaya Chikitsa is to control the mind by withdrawing it from undesired objects. Satvavajaya refers to self-command, the strength of mind or character. Satvavajaya therapy aims at the control of the mind by restraining the mind from desires for wholesome objects. In other words, it means victory over the mind or control of the mind by keeping the thoughts of the mind under control. Satvavajaya therapy aims to control the mind by controlling the desires for healthy substances.

Of course, there’s an old saying
“One can provide food on the table but cannot eat for others.”
Daivavyapashraya chikitsa (divine therapy):
Daiva vyapashraya Chikitsa involves measures to combat Daivakrit diseases. Daiva Vyapashraya It is a sort of divine therapy derived mainly from Atharvaveda. It is a faith therapy used in the management of Manasaroga. Daivavyapashraya is translated to mean any therapy that depends on or is linked to Daiva or unknown. Daivavyapashraya is concerned with all the unknown circumstances, which is beyond the purview of reasoning. Hence this treatment is often referred to as spiritual therapy. Yet it is and is not. Well Due to Westernization in every aspect of Indian society, from the educational system to the medical system, people believe in facts that are practically demonstrated or scientifically understood. So that the system of divine healing was degraded. However, Superstitions must be avoided at all costs yet one must not neglect that the universe exists on the vibrational frequency. Several types of Devavyapashraya therapy are shown. Acharya Charak has portrayed Mantra, Uphar, Hom, Havan, Niyam, Upvas, Pranipaat and Manidharan.
